woman’s oppression was observed by the limited choices and restrictive style of her shoes which inexorably restrained her from deserting her “societal gender roles”.

However as times began improving, the footwear industry was evolving to provide the new modern woman with the

sneaker. These styles of shoes are a direct result of the individualization of the women. Fashion today promotes women
